Road Trip to The Grand Canyon

Image
Ok so like this all happened in June 2021…. But I just got it done. Hahaha.  So I have been bothering Steven to go up north anywhere and go hiking or do something in general didn’t matter what just wanted to go up north. so Friday morning I sent Steven a hotel and said we can get the kids and go after work and a spend the weekend up there.  Steven ended up coming to me about 10 in the morning and saying this is your only offer. That offer was: leave after work pick up the kids drive up to Williams AZ. Spend the night get up early go fishing, go through Bearizona, then head to the Grand Canyon. After that head on back home.  So of course I said yes because I’ve been bugging him to do something. So I packed the bags on my lunch and got ready for our trip. It was a three hour drive to the hotel. Longggg three hours. The kids were not having it. We got to the hotel in Williams late that night, after the sun went down. The kids were restless.  Once we got checked in, we w...

The 2021 - 2023 Updates

Image
Alright, so it’s been a while since I have posted anything. Yea I know I am bad at this haha. I guess this should be more of a 2021-2023 update. It was originally the 2022 update but I failed at that too. We will just touch the tip of the events and I might add a post in depth to some of them at some point. (I will link them if I do, don’t worry about clicking around to find specifics). More of a list than pictures for this one but a short interesting life update read.  Let’s begin with 2021 in mid summer.  Our dog London became very sick. We planned on her not making it due to her blood having to be diluted FOUR times to even get results to populate! They think she got into something that was poisonous and was putting her into severe liver failure. We did in home IV and forced food and water down her throat for the weekend. She ended up getting better slowly but, since it’s now 2023, she still has some lasting effects but she is happy and loved.  The husband turned...

New Adventures Soon!

Image
I grew up where every summer my family would take our travel trailer for two weeks to a new destination and see the USA. I have dreamt of doing this with my kids. My husband and I have talked about getting one for so long but we never did. Until April 16 2022. We bit the bullet and bought a small Coleman Camper! It sleeps 6 people, but has a queen and a bunk bed which is perfect for us 4. No slide outs and basically minimal things. Has a fireplace for heat and an AC, shower, toilet, microwave, fridge, two burners and a sink. Not super fancy but perfect for our little young family. We upgraded and added some things.  Our must have list  for camping and trailers! We took it out so many times the year we bought it. Various places within AZ. Some campsites, some off the grid areas. Though while having hookups is nice, there is something about just parking the trailer in the middle of no where, sitting outside among the trees with a generator going every once in a while and letting...

The Polar Express

Image
Here in Arizona, we don’t get snow down in Phoenix, but up north in Flagstaff, it does. Over the last few years, we’ve seen stuff about a polar express train up there and we decided the kids were finally old enough to go. Logan was six and Rosella was four. So we took our trailer up to the campground up there, and my mum, as well as my sister and her husband rented a cabin at the same campground. We booked our tickets for the Saturday following Thanksgiving so me and the kids and my husband drove up on Friday black Friday. My mum sister and her husband drove up Saturday.  As we were driving up, we noticed a deer farm where you could feed and pet deer. So naturally we stopped because I always have to stop these kind of places. The experience we had at the deer farm was phenomenal. We got to be the day are they wanted around they followed us we could put them there. We had other animals too, but they had so many deer. The kids absolutely loved, feeding the deer and being able to pet ...

Disneyland 2020

Image
As Steven and I approached our 6 year anniversary, we had plans and dreams of what we wanted to do. Maybe visit Hawaii, maybe hold up on some hotel without the kids? But naturally we decided to include the kids and make another trip to Disneyland. The time we decided this was a few weeks before we planned on going. So mid February-ish. Just about when the covid-19 virus was breaking through the news. Slowly it picked up and I had doubts in my head about going. Disneyland is full of people from everywhere and Disney Paris and I think Hong Kong were closed. So I was timid. Time drew nearer and the covid-19 was everywhere in the news and what not. We booked our hotels, since we were unable to get all nights at the place we wanted, we booked two hotels from the 5th to the 8th. A few days before we left, covid-19 had cases many places. I had Steven call the hotel figuring people would have canceled so we should be able to get all nights at the majestic gardens hotel. So he did. And we did a...

Family Trip to San Diego 2018

Image
Rosella just hit her due date and was 2 months old and Steven and I had the time off work due to parental leave, so we decided to take a nice family vacation. Somewhere where the kids can go, or at least Logan can have fun. So we decided SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, LegoLand and SeaLife Aquarium. Logan loves animals as do I and LegoLand is for kids. Day 1 - SeaWorld. A ton of walking (granted that was the whole trip) and seeing all the marine life. Logan absolutely loved seeing all the animals and even more so when they were interacting with him. He was very excited with all the movement of the different animals . Surprisingly he did so well without a nap, but fell asleep the minute we drove back towards the hotel. Logan would run towards the different tanks because the marine life would be swimming around and it would catch his eyes. His favorite words were wow and ohh. He liked to point out all the moving animals, which was mostly everything. As expected Rosella slept most of...

Family Trip to Disneyland 2017

Image
No clue if I ever finished this but I do not think I did but here is the rough draft fro9m 2017. Logan was only 6 months old when we decided to go to Disneyland. Steven and I wanted to do something fun for our 3rd anniversary and since Logan was still somewhat little, it made sense because Disneyland is a place for children as well. We stayed in a hotel just outside Disneyland so we took the shuttle to and from. We did two dys at Disney with one magic morning thing where you get in an hour early. Though some of the rides that Logan could not get on, we skipped. Steven did however go on a few just himself and one I did as well. I actually prefer the smaller rides like Peter Pan, Snow White and those type. So I was fine without the bigger kid type rides. We did get Logan these cute little outfits to wear while we were there and he was sooo adorable! Day 1: It ended up raining most of the day, but we did have a clear cover that went over the stroller so it  kept Logan dry and we h...
