Singer Woodcraft: The Beginning

Image
Alright we did it!!! After a lot of planning and talking and research, we decided to open up a woodcraft business! However, it has begun to incorporate some metal things but still! Majority is wooden home decor and personalised wooden decor.  I had let the husband buy a CNC machine from someone we had done business with in the past and that’s where it all started. He was talking about a CNC machine for YEARS and I kept saying too expensive. Well, an angel came to us and we got one for an AMAZING price. Then the creation and options we had were endless. Until I of course was like can we make this? And he said it can’t and that a laser would be able to. So after releasing our first few projects, a personalized monogram wall decor sign and pumpkin lanterns, we had enough to get me my laser!  The laser has given us so many more possibilities and they are endless! As we still get a handle on creating things, supply, and all that businessy stuff, we have learned ALOT!  We have been working o

A Child with ADHD

Image
We always knew that our son had ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) even before he went into school. Once he started kindergarten , it was downhill from there. He was overly rambunctious in class which resulted in him having to be moved to half days. It was a constant battle with the school.  We were finally able to get him to see the doctor about it. (That is a whole other problem, seeing a regular doctor who is not specializing in children with ADHD). So we went to his pediatrician. She basically said, 'here choose a medicine you want to put him on.' I went with my mum and we looked at each other and chose Adderall because we have heard of that before.  The first week was looking good, then he began to struggle. So we called the doctor and told her what was going on, she raised him to the next dosage. Alright maybe it just was not enough for him, he has a very fast metabolism. Tried the second dosage, he seemed to be getting a bit worse. We called her back. (Us s

The 2021 - 2023 Updates

Image
Alright, so it’s been a while since I have posted anything. Yea I know I am bad at this haha. I guess this should be more of a 2021-2023 update. It was originally the 2022 update but I failed at that too. We will just touch the tip of the events and I might add a post in depth to some of them at some point. (I will link them if I do, don’t worry about clicking around to find specifics). More of a list than pictures for this one but a short interesting life update read.  Let’s begin with 2021 in mid summer.  Our dog London became very sick. We planned on her not making it due to her blood having to be diluted FOUR times to even get results to populate! They think she got into something that was poisonous and was putting her into severe liver failure. We did in home IV and forced food and water down her throat for the weekend. She ended up getting better slowly but, since it’s now 2023, she still has some lasting effects but she is happy and loved.  The husband turned 30! We had a huge

New Adventures Soon!

I grew up where every summer my family would take our travel trailer for two weeks to a new destination and see the USA. I have dreamt of doing this with my kids. My husband and I have talked about getting one for so long but we never did. Until April 16 2022. We bit the bullet and bought a small Coleman Camper! It sleeps 6 people, but has a queen and a bunk bed which is perfect for us 4. No slide outs and basically minimal things. Has a fireplace for heat and an AC, shower, toilet, microwave, fridge, two burners and a sink. Not super fancy but perfect for our little young family. We upgraded and added some things.  Our must have list  for camping and trailers! We took it out so many times the year we bought it. Various places within AZ. Some campsites, some off the grid areas. Though while having hookups is nice, there is something about just parking the trailer in the middle of no where, sitting outside among the trees with a generator going every once in a while and letting the kids

The Polar Express

Image
Here in Arizona, we don’t get snow down in Phoenix, but up north in Flagstaff, it does. Over the last few years, we’ve seen stuff about a polar express train up there and we decided the kids were finally old enough to go. Logan was six and Rosella was four. So we took our trailer up to the campground up there, and my mum, as well as my sister and her husband rented a cabin at the same campground. We booked our tickets for the Saturday following Thanksgiving so me and the kids and my husband drove up on Friday black Friday. My mum sister and her husband drove up Saturday.  As we were driving up, we noticed a deer farm where you could feed and pet deer. So naturally we stopped because I always have to stop these kind of places. The experience we had at the deer farm was phenomenal. We got to be the day are they wanted around they followed us we could put them there. We had other animals too, but they had so many deer. The kids absolutely loved, feeding the deer and being able to pet them
