Baby Shower Gift Guide

Being a mom has really opened my eyes to different things. I see what mothers actually want for a baby shower. Most people's first thought is clothes! clothes! clothes! But if you think about it, babies grow fast, and might wear them once, twice if your lucky. As well as clothes can be out of season. For example, I was given a cute sweat suit for m son, at 9 months, when he would wear it, it would be about 115 outside. So of course, he could not even wear it. If you are going to buy clothes, make sure it will most likely fit baby in the correct season. No shorts during a snowy winter, you are just throwing your money away at that point. But also, if the mother does not like the item of clothing, they may not even put it on baby. Yes you think its cute but everyone has different taste.

So lets get onto things moms can actually use and want. Ever baby shower I go to, I always get the necessities that moms will go through.

DIAPERS! no matter what size you get, I recommend 2-5 not newborns or 1, baby will use them. And it is one thing less the new mother has to buy. If you get more than one box or package, get a different size because babies will outgrow them!

Baby wipes are always useful and do not come in size. Plus not only are they useful for diaper changes, cleaning the face and hands after meals is another use for them.

Baby lotions and soaps. Like wipes, they will be used for a few years, if not longer.

Some other things people and new mothers do not think about is when baby starts to eat, they will need cups bowls plates spoons. These are not used right after baby is born but always nice for mom to have when its time to start baby on solids.

Baby proofing items like electricity plug covers. Don't want baby putting things into those now do we?

These few items, mothers/babies will really only need one of but they are always a nice gift. These include piggy bank, sitter chair, bouncer, music night light.

DIY Baby Food

Over the years, homemade baby food has become even more popular as parents look for simple, affordable ways to control ingredients and introduce real flavors early. The method hasn’t changed much, but the tools, storage options, and nutrition guidelines have evolved.  I always thought about making my own baby food with Logan but it never happened.
